Everybody desires and no desire is more compelling and more mysterious than sexual desire. That much of it is hard to grasp is only more reason for me to investigate it – after all, the photographer’s desire is precisely to visually grab things and hold on to them.
The series comprises a selection of photographs dedicated to sexual desire in the broadest sense of the word. They are typically based on what people have confided me and on my interpretations of sexual longing. But part of it is also about me. I felt it would be somewhat preposterous to seek out the intimacy of others while excluding my own.
